This Cookie Policy explains how RBM Trading LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar identifiers on hot-tent.com (the “Site”), and on the advertising links, redirect and tracking domains, and related storefronts operated by us or on our behalf in connection with the Site (together with the Site, the “Services”). This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

If any term is not defined here, it has the meaning given to it in our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Identifiers

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include:

• Pixels / web beacons — small pieces of code that record when a page loads or an action occurs;
• Local storage — data stored in your browser that persists across visits;
• URL parameters / click identifiers — codes appended to a link (for example, when you click an ad) that identify the ad, campaign, or referral source that sent you to us.

We use these technologies to keep the Site working correctly, to understand how visitors use the Site, and to measure whether our advertising is effective.

Cookie names, providers, and durations above reflect our current configuration and may change as our Site and advertising partners update their technology. We will update this table when material changes occur.

4. Click Identifiers From Advertising Links

When you click on one of our ads or affiliate links, the destination URL may include a click identifier appended by the advertising or affiliate platform, such as:

• fbclid — Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Click ID
• gclid — Google Click ID
• ksubid — our own first-party click identifier
• tid — Shortly affiliate identifier

Some of these links first pass through a redirect or tracking domain operated by us or on our behalf before you reach the Site. This tracking domain reads the click identifier from the URL and passes it to the Site so it can be associated with your visit. If you later complete a purchase, the relevant click identifier(s) present at the time of your visit are stored as order attributes on that order. We use these order attributes to determine which ad, campaign, or affiliate link led to the sale.

This Cookie Policy, together with our Privacy Policy, applies to your interaction with these advertising links and tracking/redirect domains, not only to the Site itself.

5. Our First-Party Tracking Server

We operate our own tracking server, which processes the click identifiers and visitor identifiers described above for the sole purpose of connecting an order to the advertising source that generated it (marketing attribution). This tracking server:

• receives click identifiers passed through our redirect/tracking domains and via URL parameters on the Site;
• receives the values of the rbm_ksubid, rbm_vid, rbm_fbclid, and rbm_gclid identifiers described in Section 3. Those cookies are set and read by first-party JavaScript running on our storefront; our tracking server does not set or read cookies on your device — it receives the values from the storefront as cart and order attributes in server-to-server webhooks;
• associates order attributes (click identifiers, visitor ID, order value, items) with the advertising channel that referred the visit;
• does not disclose this data to data brokers and does not use it to build profiles on behalf of third parties. Separately, the advertising-platform cookies and identifiers described in Section 3 — including the Meta (_fbp/_fbc) and Google identifiers — may be classified as a “sale” and/or “sharing” of personal information under U.S. state privacy law. We treat them as both, and a single opt-out covers both — see Section 10 (Your Privacy Choices / Do Not Sell or Share) for how to opt out.

6. Email Hashing for Internal Attribution Matching

In some cases, we use your email address, converted into a pseudonymized form using cryptographic (SHA-256) hashing, to match an order to an earlier visit by the same customer for attribution purposes. This hashed value:

• is used within our own internal systems for order-to-visit attribution matching;
• may also, where server-side ad measurement (such as the Meta Conversions API) is active, be transmitted to the relevant advertising platform (for example, Meta) in hashed form as a matching key, as described in our Privacy Policy (Section 6, Sharing);
• is not sold, and remains pseudonymous data — hashing reduces identifiability but does not make the information anonymous, since it can still be used to match records associated with the same person.

7. Payment Information

Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Shopify Payments and our authorized payment processors. We generally do not receive or store full payment card numbers.

8. Website Chat Widget

Our Site uses a third-party website chat widget (an AI-assisted chat provider) to answer visitor questions. Messages you send through the chat are processed by that vendor in order to provide chat functionality, and may be processed and stored by that vendor in the United States or other countries. Please do not enter payment card numbers or other sensitive financial information into the chat window.

Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect core Site functionality, such as the shopping cart or checkout.

Platform opt-outs. You can limit how our advertising partners use cookies for interest-based advertising through:

These external opt-outs are provided by the respective advertising networks and are supplementary to — not a substitute for — the mechanisms described below.

Your Privacy Choices / Do Not Sell or Share. Where cross-context advertising cookies (such as Meta or Google advertising identifiers) may be classified as a “sale” and/or “sharing” of personal information under U.S. state privacy law, you can opt out using our Your Privacy Choices page. See our Privacy Policy for details on U.S. State Privacy Rights and on the rights of Canadian residents under applicable Canadian privacy law.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We recognize Global Privacy Control (GPC) as a valid opt-out preference signal and apply it automatically for the browser that sends it, in the states where this is required — no further action is needed from you. You can also opt out at any time on our Your Privacy Choices page. We do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, as no uniform standard exists.
