Glamping Tents and Luxury Camping

Glamping adds comfort to camp, but weather, sleep insulation, and safety still come first.

Glamping is camping organized around comfort, space, and atmosphere. A glamping shelter may have standing headroom, a real bed or cot, rugs, warm lighting, furniture, and enough room to stay organized over several days.

Glamping is about bringing the comfort of home into the wild. It means standing headroom, real beds, warm ambient lighting, and enough space to truly relax. However, true comfort requires more than just beautiful furniture — it starts with a premium shelter like a Coody or RBM tent, designed to handle real weather while keeping the interior cozy and secure.

Common Glamping Shelter Formats

  • Bell tent: A central-pole canvas shelter with a steep roof and open floor plan.
  • Cabin or wall tent: A boxier structure with usable edge height and room for furniture.
  • Inflatable house tent: An air-beam shelter with no long rigid poles and model-specific setup times.
  • Multi-room tent: A large shelter with a removable or fixed divider for sleeping and living zones.
  • Stove-ready hot tent: A tent designed around a factory chimney port and compatible heating system.

Building a Comfortable Interior

Sleep system

A cot or deep mattress improves access and comfort, but ground insulation and temperature rating still matter. In cold weather, use a tested pad and sleeping bag or quilt rather than relying only on household bedding.

The vertical walls of Coody cabin tents allow you to place large cots right against the edges, maximizing your central living space.

Floor comfort

A footprint protects from below. Inside, a fitted carpet, rug, or foam layer adds warmth underfoot and makes the living area quieter. Keep textiles clear of heaters and dry them before storage.

Lighting

Use rechargeable LED task lights near work areas and softer ambient lights elsewhere. Confirm the hanging-point limit and keep cables away from exits and wet ground.

Furniture and storage

Choose furniture that fits the door and floor plan. Leave clear walking routes, keep heavy items low, and avoid loading tent loops as if they were structural beams.

Climate, Power, and Heating

Unlike tightly coated synthetic tents, our premium TC (Technical Cotton) canvas breathes naturally. It creates a significantly more comfortable microclimate, reducing condensation and eliminating the annoying "plastic flapping" noise in the wind, which is crucial for a peaceful glamping experience.

Match every appliance to the power source's continuous and surge ratings. Keep generators outdoors and well away from occupied shelters, doors, and vents.

Pair your shelter with a purpose-built Wood Stove using the factory-installed stove jacks found in our RBM Panda and Coody lines for the ultimate hot-tenting glamping experience.

Coody Air Tents in a Glamping Setup

Current Coody Familia models use 210 gsm TC fabric made from 65% polyester and 35% cotton, PVC air tubes, and a recommended pressure of 6-8 psi. Setup time, floor construction, rooms, windows, stove jack, and dimensions vary by model.

Their published operating range is -10 °C to +40 °C (14 °F to 104 °F). After use below 0 °C (32 °F), dry the tent completely indoors in a warm, dry space before storage.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes camping become glamping?

Comfort and planning: more living space, a supportive sleep system, furniture, organized storage, pleasant lighting, and a deliberate interior layout.

Is TC canvas always better than polyester?

No. TC canvas offers breathability and a substantial feel, while coated synthetics can be lighter, faster-drying, and easier to transport. The better material depends on the trip.

Can a large glamping tent be set up by one person?

Yes. Thanks to the inflatable PVC air-beam technology, a single person can pitch a massive Coody Familia or RBM Panda tent in just 5-10 minutes with the included pump—no wrestling with heavy metal poles required.
