Three-Layer Floor for Hexagon Tent | Insulated 4-Season Camping Base
Floor for Hexagon
Description

The Three-Layer Heat-Insulated Floor for the Hexagon tent is designed for serious cold-weather and four-season camping. It is precisely cut to match the Hexagon layout and is primarily intended to be installed under the tent for maximum effectiveness.

When placed under the tent, it creates a strong thermal barrier between the tent base and frozen or snow-covered ground. This significantly reduces ground heat loss and helps maintain a more stable interior temperature during overnight stays in low and sub-zero conditions.

When using a wood stove, radiant heat can melt snow beneath the tent. Without insulation, this may create water pooling under the base, which can later refreeze and cause the tent to freeze to the ground. The three-layer insulated floor helps minimize snow melt under the stove area, reducing moisture buildup and improving overall stability and comfort.

The multi-layer construction combines durable outer layers for repeated outdoor use with an insulating core that enhances warmth and provides additional ground protection. It also adds a slight cushioning effect, improving comfort during extended winter trips or base camp setups.

Installation options:
– Recommended: Install under the tent. Spread it on the ground and set up the tent on top. The tent frame bars fit into designated holes in the floor for proper alignment.
– Alternative: It can be placed inside the tent, but this is not the intended configuration and edges may not sit perfectly flat.

Key features:
– Designed specifically for the Hexagon tent
– Reduces ground heat loss in extreme cold
– Helps prevent snow melt and refreezing under stove use
– Adds insulation and ground protection
– Suitable for demanding 4-season camping

Diameter - 203.15''

3-layers of this floor include:

1st - Oxford 300 cloth

2nd - Heat insulator - foil isolon

3rd - Oxford 300 cloth

Three-layer floor tent floor is especially designed for extremely low temperatures. It prevents snow melting beneath the tent from the stove and keeps the tent interior warm. If tents with a stove didn’t have heat-insulated floors, pools of melted snow can appear beneath the tent and the tent can freeze into it.

The floor can either be installed under the tent (spread on the ground with a tent over it) or inside the tent.

It depends on which specific tent you own. This three-layer floor is ideally suited for owners of tents in the series mentioned in the name.

Installation

There are two ways to install the floor:

Lay the insulated floor directly on the ground first, then set up the tent on top of it. The tent frame bars insert into the designated holes in the floor to ensure proper alignment and stability.

– Inside the tent.

The floor can also be placed inside the tent on top of the existing base. This option provides additional interior insulation and comfort, although the fit may not be as precise as when installed underneath.
